Rtl8139b Drivers For Mac
Buddy, are you sure the 8139 internal LAN PCI card works in Lion 10.7 GM with this kext. Be it 32bit mode or 64bit mode? Awaiting you r reply at the earliest. It's really important, as my 1 & only Internet connection via ADSL modem is through this LAN card. I don't have any other way of connecting to it or Internet either. Regards, Freaky Chokra I am the uploader of that next and it is for x64 and works perfectly for Lion GM and Retail (same) Just read my instructions on the download page. Greats Jackieboy8.

There is also this kext (IONetworkingFamily.kext, it includes the plugin for RTL8139), which I've successfully used in both 10.6/10.7 Unlike newer kexts, it brings the Realtek NIC up to full speed, w/out slowdowns/dropouts or other known problems whatsoever. It is 64 bit compatible, was introduced in SL 10.6.0 (GM - build 10A432). Just install in /E/E or /S/L/E/ with Kext Wizard/Kext Utility and you are done, no other modifications needed. I am simply confirming that this kext installed without any additional hacking/work required on my 10.6.8 Snow Leopard RTL8139D card. Always a pleasure when something actually works.
Works in Lion too. After a couple of days, it has suddenly started disconnecting my ethernet randomly. Diagnostics will still think the card's good, just that it can't get out to the network. I think it started giving trouble about the time I installed Transmission - apparently it can't handle heavy traffic. Any chance of a properly working kext that doesn't do this?

Does this work with Lion 10.7.2? I have iATKOS L2 running, and installing this kext freezes on boot. Thanks, Matt.
